I think it just might be. While it’s nice to have an outlet to say things, I don’t know that its really worth keeping on going with my blog on a regular basis. I just really don’t have all that much to say right about now. It was fun for a while, and I do know that I have some readers (mostly repeat readers, who come back at least semi-regularly), but I don’t know if that’s enough to make me want to keep on doing this.
The fact of the matter is that all we hear about in the news are the same things over and over, ad infinitum. There comes a point when blogging about them over and over becomes pointless. I’ve reached that point. You all know what I do with Mozilla/Firefox. You all know what I think about the Iraq war. You all know I have Gmail. While there’s a lot more to me than just those things, I don’t really feel like writing about those things on this kind of a forum. At least not right now, anyway.
I’m probably going to be blogging less often, and hopefully what I’ll drop in quantity I’ll make up for in quality. Well … we’ll see how that goes. I’m not quite what what I’ll be blogging about, or when, but I’ll try not to let this thing completely die off. Even though I signed up for a blog in the hopes of getting a Gmail account, and now that I have one there’s no real reason to keep going, a part of me doesn’t want to let this end, now that I’ve started it.
Maybe I should try and actually do something useful with this blog, like share something new I’ve learned every day (in HOWTO form). I’ll have to put some thought into that. Blogging about current events just reminds me what kind of a world we live in today, and how it’s changed so much in such a short period of time. Daily rants about stuff just don’t really make a blog (not one that’s worth reading, anyway), and they certainly aren’t all that I am.
Ideas, thoughts, and comments are welcome.
