Am working frantically to finish up my BA Paper which is due today at 4:00pm. Just adding the last few touches, but it stiil needs some proofing work, and some editing. This is going to be a late night for me. I’ll probably reward myself by sleeping in late and skipping my one 9:30am class.

In case anyone’s wondering, I’m writing my BA Paper on whether or not the United Nations can effectively protect the interests of small nations. The topic is very interesting, and I can’t possibly do it justice within the page limit that I have. But right now, I’m glad I have the page limit. Means I don’t have to write as much. 🙂

I have an incredibly busy week coming up. Don’t expect to see much blogging, or to see me around on IRC at all. I’m probably not going to be spending much time on Bugzilla either.

I know what you’re thinking. I got root on a cool server, right? While that would be nice, unfortunately that’s not what happened. I had a root canal this morning, because the nerve was exposed from the tooth I broke yesterday. That’s right, they pulled my nerve out!

The root canal was actually pretty painless, and was kinda fun. Unfortunately the bill was not as fun, because I don’t have dental insurance. Had I not broken my tooth I could have flown home for a holiday and still come out better off. Anyway, I have to go back to the dentist now over the next few weeks to have the root canal all sealed up, and have some fillings put in and a crown put on it. For now they’ve given me Amoxicillin to prevent infection and some extra strength Acetaminophen as a painkiller.

Seeing as how my anesthetic is beginning to wear off, I think now would be a good time to start popping pills and preemptively dull the pain before it hits :).

So my luck today wasn’t so good. I broke a tooth today while pushing myself out of the swimming pool. Now I need to find a dentist and get it filled. I just hope I find someone who’ll see me tomorrow, because I don’t really want to go the weekend with some of my tooth missing without a dentist having seen it. Have to find something soft to eat for dinner…

Well a little spider has decided to make my room its home. While this doesn’t bother me a great deal, I have been trying somewhat half-heartedly to herd it out of my room and into the hall, where it can go and find a new home. Unfortunately, it is not cooperating. The thing makes Spiderman look clumsy. It jumps around from place to place ridiculously quickly, evading all my attempts to catch it. I guess I’ll just have to learn to living with it. As long as it doesn’t start having babies or whatnot, I don’t really care all that much. How do spiders do that, anyway? Does it take two to make more?

Due to some intense procrastination tonight, I only just finished my six page paper, which should not have taken anywhere near this long. In the end, I decided to unplug my ethernet cable while working to avoid distractions. Anyway, now I’m going to sleep for four hours. Then I’ll wake up and turn this thing in.

I just spent the last 80 minutes cleaning and vacuuming my room. I really wish I had taken some before and after pics, because the difference is like night and day. The carpet actually feels soft on my feet again, and it’s like my room is twice as big as it was before! I’m happy. The only thing left to do now is to organise my papers, after which my room will be absolutely perfect. But that’ll happen tomorrow now…
