ann coulter & sean hannity

Ever wondered what the gatekeepers of hell look like? I must admit that I did too sometimes, but today I actually found a picture of the two of them! And what can you expect to find on the inside? A library of their books, of course.

ann coulter

Anyone with half a brain should have alarm bells ringing in their head when they hear the name of Ann Coulter. I just had the (dis)pleasure of reading one of her more recent columns, which was rather more offensive than usual, even by her already abominable standards. Seriously, this woman is worse than stupid. It’s … Continue reading “ann coulter”

Seriously, this woman is worse than stupid. It’s one thing being an ignorant person who isn’t in the know. It’s another thing making up the bull that she does knowing full well that it’s baseless. It’s because of people like her than predjudice exists, and that misconceptions about races and religions get spread.

I’m not usually one to wish harm upon other people, though I will make an exception for her. It’s rather a shame that she wasn’t on one of those four planes that were hijacked on 9/11. The world would be a better place without her vapid drivel.

Would America tolerate a Muslim writing about Jews & Christians the way Ann Coulter writes about Muslims and the Arab world in general? If you’re thinking ‘yes’, then you really need to get a better grasp of reality.

check if your preferred gmail username is still available

Some genius has set up a page where you can check if your preferred Gmail username is still available. This is almost certainly against the ToS of Gmail, but it’s cool nonetheless. Check it out while you still can!

the plot thickens

Well it appears that more evidence has been found that Iraqis were tortured and raped by American soldiers. Ordinarily I would try and find some news links, and describe how the American administration has so grossly mishandled the situation there. Well it appears that more evidence has been found that Iraqis were tortured and raped by American soldiers. Ordinarily I would try and find some news links, and describe how the American administration has so grossly mishandled the situation there. However in this case, partly because I’m feeling tired, and partly because I think there is no point, I’m not going to. I mean really, the facts pretty much speak for themselves.

All of the news outlets seem to be trampling all over Bush and Rumsfeld, and are giving them both a really hard time about it. This makes me happy. I hope that this news haunts them come November.

I know I said no links this time … but I can’t help myself from posting just one. Everyone should watch The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. His shows are priceless, and really bring out the ridiculousness that is George W. Bush & Co. In my opinion, he is the best political commentator out there today. Not just because he’s funny, but also because he speaks (for the most part) the truth.

gmail for mom

Gmail has decided to grant more invites to some of its initial testers on the occasion of Mother’s Day. While it’s not 100% clear who this comprises of, I think that it probably comprises of those who were invited directly by a Google employee, rather than those invited by Blogger.com or by second-tier Gmail users. … Continue reading “gmail for mom”

So I got one of these invites today, and am posting a few screenshots of what it looked like:

Invite Location

Actual Invite

In case you’re wondering, since taking these screenshots I’ve already given out the invite. So I don’t have any more at the moment.

gmail password reset

I see that a lot of people are trying to reset my password on Gmail (since I keep on getting emails about it). I guess I must have picked up a highly desirable username. In any case, if you’re trying this, you may as well not bother. I’ve taken good care to write a decent … Continue reading “gmail password reset”

I see that a lot of people are trying to reset my password on Gmail (since I keep on getting emails about it). I guess I must have picked up a highly desirable username. In any case, if you’re trying this, you may as well not bother. I’ve taken good care to write a decent question, with a completely un-guessable or un-find-out-able answer.

Google should start adding the IPs of the user who generates the password reset email to the emails they send out. That way at least I have a chance of knowing which losers are doing this…

genius in pizza form

These guys are amazing. Two college students have developed a frontend command line Unix/Linux program that will order pizzas from Dominos! Check out Pizza Party! Sadly, the Dominos in my area does not support online ordering, otherwise I would just have to try this out. This is pure genius.

root for me!

I know what you’re thinking. I got root on a cool server, right? While that would be nice, unfortunately that’s not what happened. I had a root canal this morning, because the nerve was exposed from the tooth I broke yesterday. That’s right, they pulled my nerve out! The root canal was actually pretty painless, and was kinda fun. Unfortunately the bill was not as fun, because I don’t have dental insurance. Had I not broken my tooth I could have flown home for a holiday and still come out better off. Anyway, I have to go back to the dentist now over the next few weeks to have the root canal all sealed up, and have some fillings put in and a crown put on it. For now they’ve given me Amoxicillin to prevent infection and some extra strength Acetaminophen as a painkiller.

Seeing as how my anesthetic is beginning to wear off, I think now would be a good time to start popping pills and preemptively dull the pain before it hits :).

broken

So my luck today wasn’t so good. I broke a tooth today while pushing myself out of the swimming pool. Now I need to find a dentist and get it filled. I just hope I find someone who’ll see me tomorrow, because I don’t really want to go the weekend with some of my tooth … Continue reading “broken”

Have to find something soft to eat for dinner…

Over the last few days I’ve been focusing my efforts of triaging open bugs in Firefox Downloading. So far, I’m quite happy with my progress, but have kind of hit a plateau now in terms of what I can do. The remaining bugs are all stuff that I have insufficient data to either confirm or invalidate, or bugs that I have no way to test for because I don’t have a MacOS X system. Help is always appreciated :).
